What We Offer

Unbiased Testing
Microbiology Expertise
Peace of Mind
We do not perform remediation, ensuring our testing remains completely impartial and science-led. By keeping the testing and repair separate, it avoids a conflict of interest that may impact companies that offer both services.
The mold sampling process and interpretation of results can be very complex, requiring a great deal of scientific knowledge. A trained microbiologist brings a much greater level of expertise than general home inspectors offering add-on mold tests.
Airborne mold spores can be very hazardous to our respiratory health, but they are invisible and impossible to detect without specialized equipment. Mold testing can provide peace of mind that our loved ones are breathing clean, safe air, which is especially true with sensitive populations such as young children or immune-compromised individuals.
When should you test for mold?
Health Concerns & Musty Odors
If occupants are experiencing unexplained respiratory issues, allergies, or persistent headaches, indoor air quality may be the culprit. Similarly, a lingering musty or earthy smell often indicates hidden mold growth behind walls, under floors, or within HVAC systems that requires professional identification.
Water & Moisture Problems
Any residence that has experienced recent flooding, pipe leaks, or roof failure should be tested immediately. Even minor moisture intrusion or elevated humidity levels can trigger rapid mold colonization within 24–48 hours, potentially compromising both structural integrity and health.
Real Estate Transactions
Professional mold testing is a critical component of due diligence during home purchases. It provides an unbiased assessment of the property's environmental health, uncovering hidden liabilities that a standard home inspection might overlook, ensuring peace of mind for buyers and sellers alike.
Construction & Renovation
Testing should occur before, during, and after major renovation projects. Disturbing old building materials can release dormant spores into the air. Establishing a baseline before work begins and monitoring air quality throughout the project can help protect family members.
Post-Remediation Verification
Once a mold problem has been professionally treated, clearance testing is essential to verify that the remediation was successful. We provide science-led air quality analysis to confirm that spore counts have returned to normal, safe levels before you reoccupy the space.
Documentation & Piece of Mind
When objective environmental data is needed for an insurance claim, property dispute, rental situation, or just to rule out mold issues as something to worry about.

About Us
Matthew Cole, Founder and Lead Microbiologist
Matthew brings more than a decade of scientific expertise spanning infectious disease research and pharmaceutical industry air quality monitoring.
Matthew earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Appalachian State University and went on to earn a Master's degree from the University of Georgia, where he specialized in industrial microbiology. His scientific career has provided extensive experience evaluating microbial environments and applying rigorous scientific principles to air quality assessments.
His decision to focus on mold inspection is also personal. Matthew has had multiple family members battle life-threatening respiratory infections, giving him a firsthand appreciation for how important indoor air quality can be to a healthy home environment. That experience drives his commitment to providing homeowners with accurate, science-based information when concerns about mold or indoor air quality arise.
